Bring all the troops home

Created by A.W. on September 28, 2011

The US government does not need to support our current international military presence given the current economic downturn and financial pressures. As such all foreign US military bases should be closed and all troops and equipment brought home. Any country wishing to have an American presence remain in their country should have to pay the full cost of supporting that presence. Any nation, nations, or international organizations requesting US involvement in military operations must also pay the full cost for the US's involvement.

The only troops that should remain stationed abroad are those serving as embassy guards, or if a nation state has engaged in hostilities against the United States.
