As of April13th, 2013, 34 Law Enforcement Officers in the U. S. have been killed in the line of duty. Yet we hear nothing of this. The only time I've seen an officers death being reported on the news was during the Chris Dorner shootout in California. Did you know a K9 and another officer died that same day in St. Paul? I ask you, President Obama, to bring awareness to the American people about the dangers these men and woman face everyday, protecting people they've never met. When ever I'm driving and I see an officer, I wave. When ever I meet an officer on the street, I say, "Hi." I am a member of my local Sheriff's Office Police Explorers, and I go on ride alongs twice a month to experience what they go through everyday. Let's keep the fatalities at 34 this year, then no more next year.
