This petition is a request to reinstate 100% Tuition Assistance for all members of the U.S. Coast Guard. The current coverage is at 75% with all the other military services reinstated to 100% coverage. By not covering 100% of tuition, it is deterring members of the Coast Guard from pursuing higher education. Reinstating Tuition Assistance will provide affordability to continue or start an educational degree, allowing them to grow both professionally and personally. In turn, this will ensure members of the Coast Guard the opportunity to increase their marketability for future careers after transitioning from the military.
