In the 1990s, millions tuned in weekly to watch 'The Midnight Society' tell the greatest tales ever told. Unfortunately, the series ended in 1996, with a brief (and some would say 'lackluster') revival from 1999 to 2000.
I think a return of the series would restore the glory and dignity of US television, because today it is nothing but a mix of reality TV garbage about orange people from New England and pregnant teens (and pregnant orange people from New England).
