Bring back consumer protection for Student loans. Repeal all Non-dischargeable student loan laws.

Created by K.R. on July 06, 2013

Non dischargeable student loans are a form of indentured servitude and violate the 13th amendment.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948 declares in Article 4 "No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms".

People in general should pay back debt; however stepping over the line of basic rights causes more problems than it solves. There are many alternatives that are better. Student debt and default, as well as our tax burden has not gotten better due to these over stepped laws. It, in fact, has gotten much worse. Student loan debt is now the largest form of debt in America. Educated citizens create jobs though innovation.
