It doen't make much sense if state has parole and more progams to earn more credit towards a sentence reduction, and federal doesn't. Locking up non violent first time offenders doesn't sound right at all. I believe everyone should be given a second chance. Since federal parole was never cancelled it shouldn't cost much money and would save alot of tax payers money if we can learn to give people second chances.
