Support for the arts is important for any country.
That said, quality scripted television in the United States has increasingly languished from the deluge of common denominator programming involving questionable moral and social topics, such as child beauty pageants, youth pregnancies, & any other number of programs produced solely focused on eliciting some sad form of 'ha ha, at least I am not them' response from the audience.
As a start to bring back decent television, I put forward this current administration should acquire the rights and fund Firefly's return.
