The President of the United States should use the considerable power of the executive branch to pressure television networks to fund and air new episodes of the seminal science fiction series Firefly.
In support of this effort, the President should by executive order create a new post in his administration entitled Special Council for the Advancement of Awesomeness and appoint Firefly creator Joss Whedon as its first Awesomeness Czar. This is in recognition of the vital role that awesomeness plays the wellbeing of the United States and Whedon's already considerable efforts in advancing awesomeness in American culture.
