The budgets for the PA DOC was cut by Tom Wolf. In response to this SCI Dallas, a state Prison in PA located in Luzerne County, PA has cut the GED program! My fiance along with other inmates were taking their GED to help them follow the right path after they are released! Not only were they taking it to finish their education but it is mandatory for the inmates to have a job while they are on state parole. If the inmates do not have their GED or HS Diploma they will not be able to receive a job or taken on a trade during their time at the prison which again is mandated by parole. How are the inmates supposed to stay away from criminal activities if they can't work or given a second chance? This why the "prison wives" are looking for people to help our men's education!
