Today’s technology driven world is constantly evolving. Some of the technology we use today did not exist 10 years ago. How can we expect lawmakers to understand; furthermore, establish enforceable policies? Most lawmakers do not understand the very basics of these new technologies.
Lack of knowledge should not be a scapegoat nor an obstacle on proper technological legislation. Please unite to bring back the Office of Technology Assessment (OTA). We the people deserve it!
