The "Syrian Civil War" has been raging on long enough. Despite sanctions against Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian Government. The death toll rises and more and more civilians are being displaced and left without proper care. The shelling of non-military targets by Syrian government forces continues. Bashar al-Assad and other members of the Syrian government have committed international crimes including genocide and are to be brought to justice by definition in the "Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide" established by the UN on December 9th 1948 and entered into force on January 12th 1951. Large scale humanitarian aid needs to be brought to the country in forms of food, water, shelter and medical treatment. The government of Syria also needs to be reformed.
