Bring the Bells Of Balangiga home. A town and its people devastated by Typhoon Haiyan.

Created by G.R. on December 23, 2013

Dear Mr. President,
We thank you for the aid you and your nation have extended the Philippines after the destruction wrought by Typhoon Haiyan. As you help us rebuild Balangiga town, , there is one thing missing, something you can give us to make the spirit of the Filipinos whole. The bells of Balangiga Church.
At no other time in our history have we needed the bells of Balangiga to be home more than now.
The aftermath of Yolanda (Haiyan) has seen our people working side by side to help rebuild a devastated nation. It tells us that a new day has come: in the history of our two nations, and of the world.
With the return of the bells of Balangiga, you help us not just rebuild and strengthen the spirit of a devastated town, but strengthen the ties that bind our two countries together.
