Our Democracy is weak.
Regardless of what political ideology you may lean towards, there is no question that our Congress is currently unable to function properly and thus the government created for the people and by the people no longer serves the people well.
This is not a necessary problem. Some of the most important issues facing our society have nothing to do with the talking points of Sunday's news or the assumed differences of Red vs. Blue. They are inherent in the system itself.
End Gerrymandering and allow us to vote without rigging the outcome.
End Filibustering as it exists today and force Congress to pass legislation by representative vote.
End Congressional Insider Trading and stop the incentives that lead to votes not always for the people's best interest.
