Bring down the price of oil/gasoline. The oil prices are way too high for this stage of recovery. Part 1.

Created by A.K. on December 28, 2011

Part 1.
In 2008 the country was in a housing crisis and a banking crisis, but the economy was still moving along until Bush allowed the oil price go to $150/barrel. Then everything fell apart. People got scared. The media talked about depression and soup kitchens. Suddenly, several months later, the situation became so much better. Why? The price of oil dropped to $30/barrel. In 2011 the price of oil shot up to $120 and we had slow down in the recovery.
THIS COUNTRY RUNS ON OIL.
All recessions after WWII started with the price of oil running amok and I believe the current one is no different. Bring oil prices down, give the American consumer discretionary money to spend and we will have accelerated growth. How? See part 2.
