Amend the Child Abuse Amendments of 1984 PL 98-457
This act added medical neglect to the list of reasons for a child to be removed from their family. This act does not exempt the fact that some disorders/diseases are undocumented genetic disorders/diseases or spontaneous genetic mutations and are "invisible" until the child becomes sick or injured to the disorder/disease. These disorders/diseases have a high possibility to be considered rare among the current population, and these children; while in the states care, are being treated with experimental treatments that are not FDA approved. This poses a risk to their future health and well-being.
These events should not be allowed to destroy a family when they are actively trying to seek help.
