ROR encourages anyone with an email address to post disparaging comments about a business or individual without fact checking. No Federal Libel/Defamation statutes exist, so the site is flooded with postings by competitors, disgruntled associates, etc in their attempt to "character assasinate" their target, usually an innocent individual or business.
