On August 5, 2014, John Crawford III was shot and killed by police officers at a Walmart store in Ohio. The police were responding to a 911 call made by Ronald Ritchie who indicated to police that Crawford was posing an immediate threat to life.
A federal investigation of Crawford's shooting death is in progress, but we the people would feel even more confident in the quest for justice by an additional and explicit federal investigation into the motivation behind Ritchie's false claims and whether, by making such grossly irresponsible false claims, he violated Crawford’s civil rights.
