Our elected officials are forced to fund raise more than they do anything else. This perpetual distraction is an inherent conflict of interest, and opens the door to influence peddling lobbyists to the point that our democracy has almost stopped functioning. It's time to take our politicians out of the pockets of lobbyists and the ultra wealthy special interests.
We the people petition the President to bring legislation that sets up publicly funded elections and prevents our politicians from fundraising for their elections.
