American citizens who live in the U.S. Capital, Washington, D.C., do not have the same rights as citizens who live in states. They pay full taxes, serve in the armed forces and perform duties of citizenship in every other way, but they do not have Congressional voting rights. Ours is the only capital in the free world that denies it's capital residents equal rights. American citizens in D.C. should have the same rights as citizens living in the 50 states. They should be able to elect Members of Congress who have voting rights!
