As I am sure you have either read the book or watched the movie "Lone Survivor," you must be familiar with the story of Marcus Luttrell. If so, then you know that the Mohammad Gulab, the Afghan man who found, treated, and protected Luttrell from the Taliban until American forces could secure him, is in danger. He has been left behind to fend for himself in a place that is controlled by the Taliban, who want to get revenge for the help he gave one of our soldiers. I would like to ask that the US government bring Mr. Gulab and his family to the United States and grant them protection whether through citizenship or asylum, as thanks for taking in and protecting one of our own in his time of dire need. For leaving them in their current situation is essentially condemning them to death.
