Bring Indentured Servitude Back to our Prison System, and save over $40 Billion in taxpayers money

Created by D.G. on January 31, 2013

In 2009, It was reported The U.S. has an incarceration rate of 743 per 100,000 people, which is the highest in the world. It was found that by 2010,The federal prison population has doubled since 1995.

In 2010, it was surveyed the cost of US prisons on the taxpayers was around $40 Billion.

America having the highest incarceration rate could be beneficial instead of a shameful fact. The indentured servitude could be on contract of federal government.Giving the inmate a chance to get on the job training for manual labor jobs beneficial to our country.

With today's current system, once an inmate is incarcerated he/she has little to no chance of becoming employed once more. This cannot be ignored, and his a massive contribution to our unemployment and economic crisis.Prisons create criminals
