Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and 4 other men are currently being held in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba by the U.S. Military accused of plotting the 9/11 terrorist attacks. A Military Trial has begun against them in CUBA. Guantanamo Bay is a secure place to hold the terrorists but keeps them away from the American citizens they likely did wrong against. Holding the prisoners there also keeps them out of the public eye and in another country than the one they are being charged by, whether the base in U.S. property or not.
