Dear President Obama,
We request you to urge Indian administration to :-
a) Join rest of the international community in respecting children’s rights by signing Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
b) Respect the child custody orders of US courts and not shelter parental child kidnappers.
c) Not interfere in US civil or criminal cases related to US residents of Indian origin (unlike its reaction in Ms. Devyani Khobragade's case).
Additionally we will like your administration to re-introduce travel advisory for India about the draconian dowry harassment laws which are misused rampantly in marital disputes.
We appreciate living in USA, the land of freedom and rule of law. Please urge countries like India to adopt the same ideals as our great country.
