bring to light the serious problem of depression among teens in America today.

Created by M.Q. on January 26, 2016

Teen depression is a serious problem today. It affects the youth of society, molding and even killing people who would go on to become the leaders of tomorrow. Society needs to resolve this issue because it can be treated; it's not unsolvable, but social barriers often stop most people from talking about it or, a lot of the time, even admitting that they are depressed. Depressed teens often feel alone; hated and unwanted, whether it's true or not. They want to belong, to fit in, to be accepted, but often, they inherently can't. So they seek solace in self harm and in suicidal attempts. But that needs to change.

We as a people, as Americans, need to accept that teen depression exists today and we need to bring attention to the fact. Help tomorrow's generation today.
