According to an article published October 27, 2011 in The Huffington Post between 1998 and 2010 we lost approximately six million manufacturing jobs overseas .
America was the land of opportunity, where the common man could forage a living whether he was a college graduate or a self- educated man. Our country was build on the backs of common man performing extraordinary task such as farmers, small business entrepreneurs (mom and pop shops), furniture makers , blacksmiths and so many more important jobs that paved the way for the prosperity we have known. The jobs I speak of are not the technologies, but the yarn mills and furniture manufactures. Technologies play a huge role in America's competitive edge in the global market, but manufacturing is the backbone that build this country.
