AS THE SYSTEM EXISTS NOW, ACCORDING TO THE CONSTITUTION, representation in the U.S. Senate is very far from democratic or even representative. there are 30 states which have a total population smaller than that of California. yet, the people who live in those States get 60 votes in the Senate, while California only gets 2. same for all large states. it's not democratic. we need a Constitutional Amendment or Convention. long, long overdue.
