It has just been brought to my attention by a USA Today editorial by Jonah Goldberg that retired combat dogs, who have risked their lives to save several more, are simply abandoned as "military equipment" and not granted a flight home with their handlers. This is disgraceful! It can't be that difficult to stop classifying them as "equipment" and reclassify them once again as canines and bring them home.
As Commander in Chief, you easily have the authority to take care of this matter. Please make it a top priority!
