I was raised to respect guns. Gun owners are responsible for their fire arms. Not in a metaphorical or metaphysical sense but directly, actually responsible. We as a country have forgotten this.
The gun owner is responsible for what anyone does with their gun, because they are responsible for the gun. Even if it is lost, even if it is stolen, even if it is illegally sold.
Without an incentive for the gun owner to zealously protect their guns, we cannot pretend that guns are controlled. We track and control cars better than guns.
I Propose we:
1 Enact laws to make gun owners responsible for all actions taken with their guns
2 Create a system to allow reporting of all gun sales even private sales
3 Require manufacturers to register all guns created and to whom they were sold in the US
