The arctic is warming. The ice is melting. Extreme weather events are happening. A blue ocean event is imminent. Sea levels could rise a metre in 20 years. Imagine what that could do to islands and coastal cities. Expert scientists and engineers studying arctic ice melt believe that the most serious effects could be prevented by cooling the arctic which, they believe, could be done relatively cheaply. This petition asks the Obama administration to explore this possibility urgently.
