SGT Bowe Bergdahl is a US Army Sergeant assigned to the 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, based at Fort Richardson, Alaska. On June 30, 2009 Sgt Bergdahl was captured in Afghanistan.
Recognizing we left a comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy. Acknowledging the fact we possess more elite soldiers. Never will we fail our comrades.
