The Rio Grande Valley is a unique region of the United States. It is located along the United States-Mexico Border in South Texas. It has been a strong patriotic region when it was still part of Mexico and continues to stand proud with the sons and daughters the area has sent in our nation's conflict. Since the American Civil War, men such as Patricio Perez, who served in the Union Army, from Havana, Texas proudly served. Throughout our nations conflicts the Rio Grande Valley has answered, It has also given sons and daughters who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. We have never faltered in our service it is only just the our nation does the same and care for the veterans who have borne the battle.
