Budget increase for National Institutes of Health. Research can combat diseases like ALS, diabetes and cancer.

Created by S.T. on August 26, 2014

Private donations are a drop in the bucket in comparison to what the government can allocate towards research for all diseases. We have to fund research in order to combat disease.

“We are the biggest funder of biomedical research in the world,” says NIH director Dr. Francis Collins.

We need Congress to fight for a budget increase to account for the drop after the sequestration and then keep the budget up annually in response to inflation. This dependability will allow NIH and stakeholders to make longer term plans for resources and disease research.

Disease effects every single American family and there is something we can do about it.
