3 canals east to west as shipping lanes. 100 ft wide 60 foot deep. Line the bottoms with solar panels Ships would be electric power and non polluting. 3 to 4 canals should be made running South to North connecting everything. End result, millions of jobs, pollution free transport. Evaporation would provide the USA with humidity, deserts would disappear, land would become much better suited for agriculture. solar panels covering that much area would provide cheap energy, wifi could be installed at the same time. The USA would become a garden, the work will take years and jobs for everyone. New Cities would pop up. Clean water everywhere and fish for all.
