Build a bridge across the Bering Strait so as to connect Alaska and Siberia together

Building a bridge or a tunnel between Alaska and Siberia would be an economic advantage for Alaska in terms of trade and construction jobs. It would also favour the development of the Diomede Islands and of their population. It could also be a starting point to the connection of Alaska and Canadian British Columbia. Lastly, it could be a way of improving the diplomatic relations between the US and Russia.
