Building an intercontinental bridge between the USA and Russia would foster global partnership between our two countries, generate hundreds if not thousands of new jobs in construction and engineering, and open a new trade route into Asia. Furthermore, it would speed up the development of the Alaskan frontier and reduce the importance of sea lanes currently threatened by Chinese expansionism in South East Asia. The Russian govt. is also willing to pitch in their fair share and has approved funding for such a venture should the USA prove interested, and the technology for building bridges of the required length is proven.
