Build a Hollow, Metal Planet to Join the Solar System by 2070

Created by B.C. on December 09, 2016

Humanity has always thought of the idea of expanding its domain to the stars, and the construction of this structure, with the correct resources, would completely help with the advancement in space travel. The planet/moon's size would vary depending on the resources at the time. Appearance-wise, the structure will have an outer shell that protects the inner planet from asteroids, gamma ray bursts, and pesky cosmic invaders. The planet's interior will bear similarities to Shrek. Shrek is an ogre, ogres have layers, this planet will have layers. Each layer will consist of different ares with different climates fitting the needs of the many alien visitors, and unlike other known moon-sized space stations, this one will not be vulnerable through an exhaust pipe.
