We should build more oil rigs in the gulf because we would get more oil for less money than buying from the middle east. Also, more domestic oil means less oil spills, since 99% of oil spills occur from transportation, and these oil rigspromote environmental health by acting as reefs for marine life. They also promote the fishing industry, since most fish can be found hanging around these rigs.
