Since 1980, 297 people have been killed in school shootings in the United States. We are still reeling over Sandy Hook. This loss of innocence should not pass unnoticed by us as a nation. A National Memorial to commemorate children killed at school will honor their memory and remind us to work towards a world where no child will ever be murdered in school again.
