Since it is clear that the big ISPs such as Comcast, Charter, Verizon, AT&T, Frontier, and others all refuse to directly compete with each other contrary to what they claim. I propose that instead of spending over 500 billion dollars on the military the Country should instead divert around 200 billion total to be spent on building a national fiber network for all 50 states.
At one point the estimated cost for Google to have built a nationwide fiber network was around 150 billion (total). It has become clear that Google no longer wants to invest in fiber and instead is considering switching to wireless technology.
