The VA hospital that was in New Orleans, La was damage and never reopened per hurricane Katrina. New Orleans has a VA clinic and so does Baton Rouge but in order to have any surgreys or major operations vets from Louisiana have to drive to Miss. or to the least 2.5 hours away.
I know I speak for a lot of vets here and all we ask is for the hospital to be rebuilt, either in Baton Rouge or New Orleans. It would make it easier on the older vets so one wont have to drive to far.
