Currently many military bases have acres upon acres of open air vehicle parking for those who work there. If the government was to start installing covered parking with built-in solar panels attached to the tops of them, it would give all the drivers nice covered parking to park under, and also help offset they extremely large power consumption of the bases. With large contracts for solar panels and for solar installers, it would create jobs in the areas around the bases, and in turn would start to drive down theprice of solar panels for residential and commercial uses.
