All we want is a big weaponized laser circling the globe 24/7. When we do this, it will improve foreign policy because everyone else will fear our might. As a stretch goal, we could send another to Mars to claim it as ours. The main goal of the laser would be intimidation. In case of war, it could be used to strategically remove targets from the situation. Unlike the recent Death Star petition, this would cost a lot less and not require 50x the current amount of iron and steel left on Earth. I think a space laser is in everyone's best interest. It would be cool if "With Love, from the U.S." could be emblazoned across the side.
