Building a star ship like the one in star trek would help humans travel in space much quicker instead of it taking years etc... to travel to some plants once we find the right fuel to power the ship we will be ready for takeoff some examples would be warp drive, plasma engine/Rockets to help the ship travel nothing is impossible the word it self spells possible this would as bring more jobs to america here on earth and in space. We first went to the moon in 1969 its 2013 almost 2014 now we are behind when it comes to space. So instead of a one-shot space project to get humans to Mars for a limited visit, we need to think in terms of a sustainable human presence in space. From this point of view, a mission to take humans to Mars would simply fit into our human-supporting infrastructure
