Build a pipeline to carry spring flood water along the Mississippi River to terminate at Lake Powel and Lake Mead. Add storage areas along the route for farms that can be used in case of drought saving money in lost crops and higher food prices.
The extra water can be used to replenish both Lake Powel and Lake Mead after decades of drought. Both lakes are an important recreation and economic resource for the western states.
The pipeline would save millions, possibly billions, yearly in damage and lost farm land as a result in flood waters generated yearly from the spring melt.
Building a WATER pipeline would generated jobs, save tax payers money's from flood water damage and insurance claims.
Transporting water will not have an environmental impact on the route..
