Our entire society is completely reliant on technology and electricity. Yet we string the very life lines of this critical technology and electricity on "telephone poles".
This was expedient 100 years ago, now it is asinine, and reckless. To make matters worse, we plant trees under them, perhaps to try to conceal their very real ugliness.
When storms come....you know what happens...Chaos and preventable loss of life.
Furthermore we place the antiquated poles along the road, causing thousands of deaths every year, when cars strike these 60 foot tall solid wood, steel, or concrete poles buried deep in the earth, inches from the roads edge.
This is stupid. Bury the lines!
