On Saturday, October 3, 2015, U.S. forces launched an air strike at 2.15 a.m. (1745 ET), according to spokesman Col. Brian Tribus.
This airstrike was directed at the MSF hospital.
Almost 200 patients and employees were in the hospital, the only one in the region that can deal with major injuries. The death toll came to at least 16 by late on Saturday.
MSF said it gave the location of the hospital to both Afghan and U.S. forces several times in recent months, most recently this week, to avoid being caught in crossfire
This is not a "tragedy", this is a war crime. Those responsible must be punished. End their careers.
