Russia's relationships with its neighboring states are its own business. The United States should not interfere in any way in the current controversies in Russia, the Ukraine or Crimea other than to provide humanitarian assistance if requested.
The United States would not tolerate interference with our relationships with Canada or Mexico from any other country, and we should not involve ourselves or our government resources with Russia's relationships with Ukraine or Crimea.
We call on the President to instruct Secretary of State John Kerry to cease all comments, threats of sanctions toward Russia, and all diplomatic activities with respect to the Russia-Ukraine-Crimea situation.
