Congress is broken. People with special interests will shut down any reform simply because they don't like the person, or group of people proposing them. It is plain sabotage. The President and his team should bypass this corrupted system by working directly with the states. Governors know the issues affecting their regions and they are in a better position to draft and propose ideas tailored to the needs of their people. President Obama should sit down with all 50 governors and come up with plans to help all the good people out there that need help. These plans should skip congress altogether and be passed by a resolute mandate between the federal government and the state government.
