This is a link to the petition that someone of a similar mind and someone who I agree with has posted and I agree with it completely but one thing he left out was that guns don't kill people; people kill people a gun is like a hammer both of them are tools and when used wrong they both can cause harm to the user or someone around you but the thing they have in common is when you hurt yourself or someone else whose fault is it? the user, the tool is an inanimate object and shouldn't be punished because of the actions of the user. I believe you should loosen the gun laws because for example lets say 3 out of 4 people on the streets owned a gun the robber is going to feel less inclined to rob them.
