A call to Alter US-Cuban political and trade relations and a call to at least alter the embargo

Perhaps the last true legacy of cold war era politics, the US-Cuban trade embargo, while intended to help displace a murderous, freedom repressing, and Moscow aligned government in Havana, has seen its utility and righteousness long sense dissipate. The Castros remain in power even with both brothers being in their mid to late 80s. One might question the timing that this administration has started this dialog towards normalized Cuban relations, but (whether right or wrong) what has been done has been done; we must now do what is best for the Cuban and American people. This requires the lifting of trade and travel restrictions between the two nations, allowing people to engage in commerce and cultural exchange. This will help the economic situation of all and help spread ideas of freedom.
